Our AKC miniature poodle puppies are raised in our family home in Henefer, a small town in Summit County on the I-84 corridor, about 40 minutes from Ogden and under an hour from Salt Lake City. Families come to us from across Utah and from neighboring states, and we help with pickup or delivery either way.

Raised in Henefer, Summit County
Henefer sits in the Weber River valley where I-84 meets I-80, between Morgan and Coalville and about 30 minutes north of Park City. It is quiet mountain-valley country, which is where our name comes from, and our puppies are raised inside our home here rather than in a kennel building.
Getting here is simple from anywhere along the Wasatch Front. From Salt Lake City, take I-80 east toward Park City and pick up I-84 west at Echo Junction. From Ogden, follow I-84 east through Weber Canyon. From Park City, it is a short drive north on I-80. Most families along the Wasatch Front are under an hour from us.
We do not allow visits at our home, which protects the puppies from parvo before their vaccines are complete. While you wait, we FaceTime so you can see the puppies and their personalities. On go-home day we meet nearby at a safe public place or at your hotel, or curbside at the Salt Lake City, Ogden or Provo airports, and we walk you through your puppy's routine, food and vaccine record before you leave.

Coming From Out of State
Many of our families live in Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, Arizona and Colorado, and we work with buyers across the country. You have three options: drive to Henefer or meet us at a public location along your route; fly into Salt Lake City, Ogden or Provo and we will meet you curbside at the airport; or have your puppy flown to your nearest major airport with a lap nanny, which typically runs $650 to $1,200 depending on the route. We never ship puppies as cargo.
Meeting Along the Way
For families along I-15 or I-80 we can often meet at a safe public spot in Park City, Ogden or Salt Lake City, at your hotel, or at a Utah stop that shortens your trip. Handoffs are arranged once your puppy is ready to go home, and we bring the vaccine record, food and everything you need for the first days.
Serving Poodle Families Across Utah
Most of our miniature poodle puppies go home with families along the Wasatch Front: Salt Lake, Davis, Weber and Utah counties, plus Park City and the rest of Summit County. We also regularly place puppies in Cache Valley, the Uinta Basin and southern Utah, and with families who drive in from Idaho and Wyoming. Wherever you are, the process is the same: apply, join the waitlist, choose your puppy at six weeks, and plan the trip home together.

Where is Mountain Valley Poodles located?
We are in Henefer, Utah, a small town in Summit County about 40 minutes from Ogden and under an hour from Salt Lake City. Our puppies are raised in our home, and we meet families nearby, at their hotel, or curbside at the airport on go-home day.
Can I visit the puppies before I decide?
We do not do in-home visits before you decide, to protect the puppies from illness before their vaccines are complete. We are happy to FaceTime so you can see the puppies and their personalities, and once your puppy is chosen we can often meet nearby in person before go-home day.
How far is Henefer from Salt Lake City International Airport?
About an hour by car via I-80 and I-84. If you are flying in, we meet you curbside at the Salt Lake City, Ogden or Provo airport with your puppy.
Do you deliver or ship puppies?
We offer hand delivery by lap nanny to your nearest major airport, typically $650 to $1,200 depending on the route, and we can meet you partway at a public location in Utah. We never ship puppies as cargo.
What areas do you serve?
All of Utah, including Salt Lake City, Ogden, Park City, Provo, Layton and Logan, plus Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, Arizona and Colorado. Families farther away use our lap nanny delivery.

Yes. Henefer is about 30 minutes north of Park City on I-80, making us the closest AKC miniature poodle breeder for most Summit and Wasatch County families.
